About the Association of Image Consultants International

The Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) is the leading and largest professional association of personal and corporate image consultants worldwide. A non-profit organization, AICI is dedicated to advancing the level of professionalism and enhancing the recognition of image consultants. Our members counsel both individual and corporate clients on appearance, behavior, communication skills, etiquette and international protocol. As experts in image consulting, our members guide clients to achieve their specific goals with authenticity, credibility and confidence.

A Legacy of Professional Growth through Community

AICI was founded in the United States in 1990 as the result of a merger of the East Coast-based Association of Fashion and Image Consultants and the West Coast-based Association of Image Consultants.
AICI’s membership is growing rapidly, with approximately 1300 members worldwide.
The membership represents over 40 countries. Chapters are located throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
AICI fosters a sense of community within its membership through its weekly Member Minute, our quarterly AICI Connections online newsletter, Image Update Magazine, Annual Conference and local chapter events.
AICI assists members in building their businesses by continually upgrading the resources, development tools, and technical knowledge that are essential to effective self-presentation and communication.
As a Continuing Education Units (CEU) sponsor, AICI offers approved, ongoing educational programs and continuing professional development in conjunction with its Annual Conference and other regional programs worldwide.

Membership Categories

Wherever you are in your image-consulting career, AICI offers a membership plan that fits your needs. You can choose from among AICI’s membership categories.

Choose the Membership that Fits

If you’re still in school, studying to become an image consultant, you can apply for a Student membership. At any stage of your professional image consulting career, you can become an Associate member. If you work as a professional in a related industry such as fashion or grooming, you might want to become an Affiliate member.

Associate Member

Dues: $285 per year
Privileges: As an Associate member, you can

Vote locally and internationally;
Hold local office and serve on local and international committees;
Attend local and international meetings; and
Use the AICI logo and “Associate Member of AICI” under your name.

To Qualify, you must be an enterpreneur or corporate employee working in the field of image consulting or a related field. Join AICI now.

Affiliate Member

Dues: $285 per year
Privileges: As an Affiliate member, you can

Serve on local committees if it is not a conflict of interest;
Attend local and international meetings; and
Use the designation “Affiliate Member of AICI” after your name.

To Qualify, you must be an individual working in an affiliated business and be supportive of the Image Industry. Join AICI now.

Student Member

Dues: $165 per year
Privileges: As a Student member, you can

Serve on local and committees;
Attend local and international meetings; and
Receive a reduced rate for membership dues, conference registration fees, and, at the discretion of the chapters, local meeting fees.

To Qualify, you must be enrolled at an accredited educational institution (college or university) in preparation for an image- or fashion-related career. Proof of registration and enrollment are required. Student status cannot exceed two years. Join AICI now.
