Around the Globe - Honoring All 2012-2013 AICI Chapter and AICI Individual Philanthropy Projects
National Philanthropy Day®— is held annually on November 15th and recognized internationally.
The Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) invites you to join us in a personal commitment to Philanthropy. We encourage all chapters and members to contribute by giving back to your community through philanthropic projects through June 30, 2013.
What can you do as an individual or chapter project?
Organize a complimentary program on your own, participate in a chapter service program, or simply represent AICI in a philanthropic effort developed by your community or other organization. Complimentary programs that you offer to others qualify! By completing a commitment form, AICI members agree to give back and make a difference by utilizing their professional image skills to make a positive contribution to society.
Great ideas to recognize philanthropy as chapter event and even opening meetings with a chapter project: including the Tokyo Chapter which received the 2012 Chapter Philanthropic award, for their monthly makeovers in nursing homes. The New York Tri-State Chapter supported Gilda fund NY and also has an Image Scholarship at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC as a Chapter Project. The Washington DC Metro Chapter, collected dozens of shoes for Soles 4 Souls® which supplies shoes to 127 countries. The chapter also donating suits and jackets for Suited for Change which since 1992 enables low-income women to increase their employment, job retention potential and contributes to their economic independence. Individual project ideas abound.
How will you and your chapter make a difference this year? Start with the 2012-2013 Commitment form! To be recognized for completed projects conducted since July 1, 2012 at the upcoming AICI May 2013 Conference, please request and submit your Commitment(s) by March 31, 2013.
