New Passport and Visa Letter Requirements

New Passport Requirements Affect Members In Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda
Effective January 23, 2007, The U.S. government is enforcing new passport requirements for all travelers entering or re-entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. Travel between the U.S. and U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) will not be affected. To find out how to obtain a passport, go to www.getapassportnow.com or contact your local government official.

VISA Requirements
The U.S. government changed Visa invitation letters requirements.

Members requiring a Visa invitation letter must follow these steps:

  1. Complete the AICI Conference Registration form and return the form to AICI Headquarters with payment in full. Letters cannot be issued until registration has been paid in full.

  2. Send in proof of industry affiliation to info@aici.org or with the Conference Registration Form.

  3. Contact AICI Headquarters and request a Visa Submittal Form.

  4. Complete and return the Visa Submittal Form to AICI Headquarters.

Once the Visa Submittal Form has been received at AICI Headquarters, information will be verified and, upon approval, the Visa invitation letters will be mailed by regular postal service or fax. The attendee is responsible for providing this information to the US Consulate /Embassy in their home country; AICI will not be responsible for contacting these offices.

The requirements and amount of time needed to obtain an U.S. Visa will vary from country to country. We recommend that you contact the US Consulate / Embassy in your county to enquire about the process and timeframe to issue a Visa. Last-minute visa applications run the risk of not being approved in time for the event.
