Getting Programs Approved for CEUs

As “The Source for Image Professionals,” one of AICI’s goals is to provide educational opportunities to enhance the professional development of its members. AICI recognizes providers of high quality continuing education by offering them the opportunity to award CEUs for their programs. Benefits of becoming a CEU provider include added exposure on the AICI website, announcements in AICI’s E-publication Connections and much more.

How Can Participants Earn CEUs for a Course I Offer?

If you are a professional trainer or educator, have designed a course, seminar, or workshop that covers content in the AICI Core Curriculum, and want participants to have the opportunity to earn CEUs, follow these steps to become a CEU Provider:

Download AICI’s Application and Guidelines for Obtaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Delivering High Quality Educational Opportunities. Refer to the Application and Training Delivery Checklist included in this document to ensure that all criteria have been met before submitting your application. Necessary forms are posted here as Word documents for ease of use: Training Plan Template, Application to Offer CEU’d Programs, Participant Training Evaluation, and Trainer Self Evaluation.

Submit the completed application to the CEU Administrator six weeks before you want to start offering CEU credit.

After you have received written authorization from the CEU Administrator, you may advertise that CEUs are available to those taking your course. AICI will confer the CEUs when the appropriately completed evaluation forms have been submitted to AICI headquarters.

I have completed my first application using the new CEU process. Although I was initially intimidated by the new procedure, I found that the new guidelines were so clear that they actually made the process easier. Not only was there more ease and less effort, but the resulting quality of the training program is superior to any devised through the previous process. Thank you,

                                     – Karen Brunger, AICI CIP

How Can Our Chapter Offer Education Days That Are CEUd?

Please refer to AICI’s Application and Guidelines for Obtaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Delivering High Quality Educational Opportunities. Refer to the Application and Training Delivery Checklist included in this document to ensure that all criteria have been met before submitting your application.
