The first ever International Image Consultant Day will take place on November 23, 2013. The day is registered with Chase’s Calendar of events in the United States and will be celebrated globally by image industry professionals and educational institutions with image consulting degrees and certificates.
International Image Consultant Day was initiated by Manolo Trujillo and Hildeberto Martinez in Mexico where many universities offer degrees in the field. The purpose is to celebrate the profession and to increase awareness within a range of communities.
Image consultants strive to help their clients advance in personal and professional arenas. Personal style, fashion, communications and etiquette are all addressed. A central objective is to help clients to move forward in life looking and feeling confident and proud.
This week, many consultants around the world are using the day and their talents to work within their local communities. Members in the Philippines are volunteering at Villamor Airbase helping with a makeshift soup kitchen and pre-loved clothing for those affected by the disaster. Members in the South Central Chapter are participating in the Texas Women’s Conference to spread the word about the profession and the opportunities it provides to make a difference.
