Aury Caltagirone Gives Back With An “Image For A Cause” Network Called Unica

México city/MEXICO Aury Caltagirone, as a member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), is participating in an outstanding community service program. The project to build a network UNICA (Una Nueva Imagen para el Cambio / A New Image for Change) is part of the global effort to share the message of giving back through image projects around the world. UNICA gathers experienced Image Consultants and aims to provide free services to people suffering from a disability, either medical (cancer, anorexia, rheumatoid polyarthritis, Down syndrome, etc.) or social (women suffering from domestic violence, unemployed people, teenage mothers, etc.)
Each Image Consultant member of UNICA has been specially trained to the specialty of supporting disabled people by an intensive and unique course provided by Aury Caltagirone, who has a 23-year experience in the field in France. The UNICA network has been founded with the support of following Image Consultants, all members of AICI: Betty Jassan, Carla Hernández de Garay, Nur Carballo, Karina Deninotti and Wendy Crespi.
Sixteen workshops or events have been organized in the past year, with an average of fourty participants, helping four associations: Asociación Mexicana de Lucha contra el Cáncer, Oncoayuda, Quiérete and VIFAC. The target is to end 2014 with at least fifty trained Image Consultants as members of the UNICA network. They will support hundreds of people each year by providing free advice (image consulting workshops) or material support (scarves, wigs, breast prosthesis, make-up, etc.), mostly via established associations, foundations, hospitals, etc. UNICA network already provides support in Mexico, France and Spain.
