She is a global systems specialist with an intimate understanding of global textile and apparel supply chains. Throughout her career, Stacy has developed several large scale programs from concept to in-store implementation and deployed micro programs for start-ups. Do Not Be Kidnapped by Color Usage!

Should you wear clothes in deep or pale colors if you want your skin to look fair? Should you wear blue-based or yellow-based clothes if you want to have rosy cheeks? Is the function of seasonal color analysis looking for your suitable colors only? The myth about colors can put a limit on the possibility of color usage. To be constrained by the myth is just like being kidnapped! The reason is that people are subjective in their body image and their color preference, which has caused them to be kidnapped by themselves. Another reason is that a consultant who doesn't have enough knowledge in colors may send the wrong messages, which kidnap the clients unintentionally. In this session, hopefully I can help to reset your opinion on colors and to understand the concept of colors which can be applied in your consulting service. We need to keep an objective attitude to extend the range of color usage; never be kidnapped by color anymore. This should be the original mission and value of color usage.

Frida Kahlo was one of the most prolific artists Mexico has ever produced. Physically deformed, first by childhood polio and later by a severe road accident, she had one leg shorter than the other and a totally shattered spine. Despite being bedridden or confined to a wheelchair, she still managed to produce the most amazing paintings and self-portraits. She died 63 years ago, but her face still ubiquitously adorns T-shirts, crockery, towels, etc., throughout Mexico. More importantly, Frida Kahlo pioneered her own unique, inimitable style. A non-conformist, she wore her art on her body both literally and figuratively. Her “be yourself” attitude continues to inspire today's fashion designers and celebrities. In order to be authentically beautiful, you may have to refigure what you know about image. This session, based on Frida and other well-known style icons, will provide food for thought, ideas and tips on how you might do that for yourself and for your client.
