How Chapters Work

The heart and soul of AICI can be found at the local level through AICI Chapter activities. Chapters exists as a group of at least 15 AICI members organizing at least four meetings or events per year.  The events may be social, networking or philanthropic, but most are educational in nature.  Larger chapters organize popular and recurrent multi-day conferences, and chapters often join with other chapters to organize and host larger regional events.

Chapters have Boards of Directors with a variety of officer positions, maintain careful bookkeeping and financial records and report regularly to the AICI International Board. 

Participating in chapter meetings and events is one of the best ways to maximize the value of your AICI membership, by networking and bonding with industry peers, gaining continuing education, and keeping your professional skills sharp. 

Great leadership and professional development opportunities arise for members by taking positions on Chapter Boards of Directors, organizing events, and participating in philanthropic outreach.  Leadership at the chapter level is also a valuable way to gain leadership points required for certification status, as well as providing a stepping stone to higher positions on the AICI International Board of Directors.

AICI Chapters are organized geographically, and our growth over the years to 29 chapters, demonstrates our international expansion, with more chapters expected to be chartered in the near future.
