Profile

Cynthia is one of less than 100 people in the world to currently hold the Professional rank in the Association of Image Consultants International, hence the AICI, CIP (Certified Image Professional) behind her name. She earned a Master of Science degree in Textiles and Clothing with a minor in art and taught clothing-design related classes at university level. A longtime member of Fashion Group International, Denver Region and a longtime Professional Member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), she is also active in her church and sorority.

Skari created and owns COLOR QUEST™, providing custom color/style training to color and image consultants worldwide. COLOR QUEST systems allow consultants to design unique color and style plans for each individual using more than two thousand, full spectrum, scientifically balanced colors. All hues, intensities and values are represented. Skari co-created Color Profiles, her first color consulting company, in l974 and pioneered Color Quest™ in 1989.

While living in Asia for three years and traveling extensively in Asia and Europe, she studied the clothing and coloring of many racial and ethnic groups. This research became the backbone of the COLOR QUEST™ systems. Human coloring is becoming increasingly global as very few individuals have coloring specific to one group of people. • Color-by-Color System -- The most comprehensive, scientifically balanced, full-spectrum color system available. Representing all hues, all intensities, and all values! You may purchase all 2000+ fabric tags (one color per tag) in the complete system or as few as 50 fabric tags from the system.
  
• Color Strip System -- 388 options displaying more than 1000 beautiful, effective, full-spectrum colors on clear plastic strips organized by hue, intensity and value. Purchase all or your choice of color strips.

• Training Sessions with Color Quest ™ -- Learn first hand how to select colors The Color Quest Way. No other program today utilizes the powerful methods of color analysis that Color Quest™ offers. Most importantly, CQ does not limit creativity, as other methods do. Most color systems diagnose a client’s coloring first, then the colors chosen have to fit the diagnostic so the colors have the same characteristic(s). This means that if your coloring is muted, you have to look muted all the time. We believe that people want, in fact need, variety in their lives and wardrobes. They need some bright, some soft, some warm and some cool, some neutral and some colorful colors. The CQ Way identifies the facts about a person's coloring, i.e., hair, skin, eyes and blush. And the blush color is not the surface red but the red that viscerally makes the person glow! Then each additional color is considered separately, giving it its own range of intensity and value. CQ has no rules about how many neutrals one gives, or what has to go with what, etc. Utilizing the CQ methods of color selection, one learns how to bring each chosen color into equality with the individual, thus allowing for variety and excitement in wardrobes!
