Clothing is not a mere adornment for the wearer but a representation of the person who chooses or wears the garments.

It is not just a fashion statement or a work ‘uniform’ but a way of visibly portraying their sense of humor, dreams, hopes, anxieties and frustrations.

Consumers are better informed than ever before and the analytical approach we have been taught doesn’t always fit the bill when it comes to synchronizing client style.

Clients are ALL different and they need us to serve them using the methods THEY most prefer.

So, we need something more.

What if, just for today, you forgot everything you’d ever learned about image – pro-portion, line, space, scale, color?

What if, just for today, you focused on some different reference points to connect and dress your clients in a way that really suits their needs?

What if, just for today, your creative right brain did most of the work?

These 2 x 90 minute webinars look at the innovatory influences used by great artists and designers and the importance of imagination and intuition in covering the human form as an expression of a person’s individuality.

We will be looking at dressing the needs of your clients using a completely different approach, so their clothes tell a story – their story – which relates to their influences and inspirations. You can, of course, apply this to your own style.

Enter this training with an open mind and an open heart, and take a brand new look at what you do and how you do it.

Increasing the number of style tools available increases the satisfaction of your clients.

In this AICI CEU’d Webinar session, you will:

  1. Define the terms: influence, imagination, intuition, inspiration and innovation
  2. Give examples of at least 3 external influences that have been used by fashion designers to create clothing
  3. Verbally describe an outfit using the concept of polarity
  4. Imaginatively name individual examples of local ‘Street Style’ and use intuition to relay the story they evoke

Sue Donnelly

Sue Donnelly AICI CIP, LFIPI, FFSM has always wanted to help people enjoy the art of getting dressed. She believes we are all unique and shouldn’t have to ‘go along’ with the crowd. In her world, one size does NOT fit all and this includes the way we serve our clients. Sue is the 2015 recipient of the Jane Segerstom Award, AICI CIP, a Life Member, Fellow and former President of the UK image industry’s governing body - Federation of Image Professionals International - a founding member of Association of Stylists and Image Professionals and the only UK Master Facilitator of Fashion Feng Shui®. She is a certified coach, international facilitator, speaker, author of 5 books, appears regularly on TV and has written articles/styled photo shoots for magazines and newspapers. She has presented at Education Days and Conferences all over the world. She believes that being curious about every aspect of one’s life is the key to authentic success and beauty. Life and closet are inextricably linked so to successfully change what you (and your clients) wear is not only empowering but needs to be an ongoing process of discovery.

I have a great deal of respect for Sue Donnelly and was delighted when I had the chance to participate in Putting the I into Image webinar program. I have attended previous webinars facilitated by Sue and they have all been excellent. Needless to say, she did not disappoint. The 90 minute webinars were engaging, enjoyable, informative and most importantly, interactive. Sue ensured that throughout the 2 sessions that everyone participated – either speaking or messaging live via the webinar platform chat box. Plenty of time was allowed to cover the objectives and there were opportunities to ask questions before moving onto the next section. Visuals were used as discussion points and to illustrate examples, all of which were very helpful. Having facilitated webinars myself, I know it’s not as easy as it appears to keep the pace going, main-tain audience interest, monitor participants’ questions, as well as managing the webinar controls, yet Sue did it effortlessly and skillfully. This is definitely a program for those in the industry who want to extend and advance their thinking, as well as adding value to clients by providing an elevated experience.

—Cheryl Lampard, Past President AICI Florida Chapter

I found Sue’s webinars to be very well constructed, excellently delivered and full of exciting alternative and complementary ways of thinking with regard to image consulting. This course allows both con-sultants and clients to think and make their image choices holistically. A valuable way to view many aspects of our lifestyles. ‘Putting the I (eyes) into Image’ is a very interactive course which sets out its learning objectives very clearly, guides the learner through a series of considerations which are unconventional to the seasoned image professional, whilst opening up wholly different ways to allow each consultant and client to ‘find’ their true self, and to express this through their dressing. We each went away with an action plan to begin our new journeys. I recommend this course delivered by Sue Donnelly to anyone who wishes to expand and further their learning into advanced image techniques.

—Sally M Hanley FFIPI, Director of Accreditation, Federation of Image Professionals International

I recently took part in Sue Donnelly’s Webinar “Putting the I into Image”. I have been an Image Consultant for over 7 years and have attended many courses delivering the ba-sics of image consultancy. This course really added a new dimension to my knowledge and took it a step further. I now feel more able to advise certain types of clients (the very creative ones and those who are look-ing to change their style drastically) much better than before and I will be using my new knowledge and skills to enhance all my consultations. I would thoroughly recommend it! The Webinar format really suited me. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to spend any time or money travelling and could sit and take part with my dog in my lap and a cup of tea on my desk!

—Angela Weyers: Color Me Beautiful

This 2 session webinar was most thought provoking. As a relatively new image consultant, I found her insights and different way of looking at what we do to be so helpful. In my opinion, Sue’s approach is more intuitive and relevant to today’s client. In terms of delivery and suitability for a webinar audience, the sessions worked well with a good mix of teaching and audience participation. Sue is a much needed voice in the world of image consultancy and styling. I will be definitely refining my approach and offering as a result.

—Steph Robson, Image Consultant & Coach
