Please note that submission of this form does not automatically include your name on the AICI Nominations Ballot. Submission of this form allows AICI to pursue your interest in an AICI International Board position. You must be a certified AICI member to pursue a position on the AICI International Board of Directors.

About the AICI Board Nominations Process

  • Submission of this form does not automatically include your name on the AICI Nominations Ballot.
  • Submission of this form allows AICI to pursue our interest in an AICI International Board position.
  • You must be an AICI certified member (AICI CIC, AICI CIP or AICI CIM) to be on the AICI International Board of Directors.
  • The Nominations Committee Chair will collect all documentation and will lead the AICI Nominations Committee.
  • The AICI Nominations Committee will review all applications received.
  • The AICI Nominations Committee will interview all candidates that meet the requirements.
  • The AICI Nominations Committee will interview references for the final slate of officers based on availability.
  • The AICI Nominations Committee reserves the right to interview candidate’s chapter members and chapter leaders.
  • The AICI Nominations Committee will present the final Slate of Officers to the AICI International Board of Directors for a board vote.
  • If you will be included on the AICI Slate of Officers, you will be expected to provide a synopsis of your biography and a photo to AICI Headquarters for the Official Election Ballot.
  • AICI Election Ballots will be sent to AICI Voting Members for a vote.
  • Notice of election results will be sent to candidates by the Nominations Chair.
  • Incoming Board Members will be sworn into oath at the Annual General Meeting via webinar on Monday, June 25, 2020 at 8:00 am Central, USA Time.
  • Newly elected board members' terms will begin July 1, 2020.

President-Elect: The President-Elect will preside in the absence of the President. The President-Elect shall assist the President and shall perform such other duties as are prescribed in the Policy and Procedure Manual and as directed by the President and Board of Directors in carrying out Association business and program of work. The President-Elect will be elected for the second year of the President's term for a one-year term, and will automatically assume the office of President the following year.

 

Secretary: The Secretary shall record the proceedings and maintain the minutes of the General Membership Meeting as well as Board of Directors meetings. The Secretary shall perform such other duties as are in the Policy and Procedure Manual and as directed by the Board of Directors. The Secretary also functions as the Philanthropy Chair to oversee the Philanthropic projects around the globe. The Secretary shall be elected for a two-year term.

 

VP Business Development: The Vice President of Business Development shall direct and oversee all the activities related to AICI’s fundraising and strategic business alliance. The Vice President of Business Development shall be elected for a two-year term.

 

VP Education: The Vice President Education shall be responsible for training for the Association, including training at Conference and providing web-based learning opportunities, and for aiding training institutions that establish courses and certification in this field. The Vice President Education oversees CEU training approval and all CEU programs. The Vice President Education shall perform such other duties as prescribed in the Policy and Procedure Manual and as directed by the President or the Board of Directors. The Vice President Education shall be elected, for a two-year term.

 

VP Human Resources:  The Vice President of Human Resources shall preside in the absence of the President and the President-Elect. The Vice President of Human Resources shall oversee all aspects of recruiting and maintaining membership for the Association. The Vice President of Human Resources shall perform such other duties as prescribed in the Policy and Procedure Manual and as directed by the President or the Board of Directors. The Vice President Human Resources shall be elected, for a two-year term.
