Attention All Trainers: This Page is for You!

As "The Source for Image Professionals,” one of AICI’s goals is to provide educational opportunities for the professional and personal development of its members. AICI recognizes providers of high quality continuing education by inviting them to submit their programs to be CEU-Approved. i.e. approved for Continuing Education Units. There are significant benefits from becoming an AICI CEU Provider including:

  • Multiple opportunities for exposure and recognition on the AICI website and in the Global Newsletter
  • Being part of a learning community of top trainers in the image industry
  • An opportunity to continually improve your training design, development and delivery
  • An opportunity to build your business

How Can I Become an AICI CEU Provider?

Eligibility

Members who have earned their CIM or CIP are automatically eligible to apply to have their program CEU-approved. If you are a skilled trainer and have a course that you believe would be of value to our AICI members, then making application to have your program approved for AICI CEUs makes sense. Trainers, who focus on topics, other than technical image ones, for CEU-approval, must show evidence of their expertise and experience in the subject being presented.

Application

Before applying to have your course approved for AICI CEUs you have to have presented the course at least once (referred to as a “pilot”). Read the following materials and download the necessary forms to complete and submit to the AICI CEU Administrator:

  • Read the AICI CEU Provider Application Manual: This is the manual that includes specific details about every part of the application process. Using this as a reference, while completing the application paperwork, is very helpful.

  • CEU Provider Policy Manual: This document contains the polices for the CEU Program that have been approved by the AICI International Board of Directors.

  • Application to Offer CEU-Approved Program: This form needs to be completed when you submit your application.

  • Training Plan: This template is used to record the content you are presenting and how the participants will be engaged in this learning experience.

  • Participant Training Evaluation: This is the evaluation template that is used by all AICI CEU Providers. Providers customize the last part of the form to align with the learning outcome statements listed in the Training Plan.

In addition, there are marketing, and slide and handout samples required.

For one-time Chapter events the process is the same. For more details please click here.

How To Submit Your Application

We have gone digital! All CEU Course Applications and Re-Approvals must now be submitted online. Application fees are also due at the time of submission. If fees are not paid when the application is submitted, materials will not be sent to the CEU Administrator for review

New Fee Structure

AICI has also changed the CEU Course fee structure. Fee’s are now based on flat pricing, $150 USD for Chapter Event Applications and Initial Course Applications, $125 USD for 3rd Year Re-Approvals, and $70 USD for Conversions. There is no longer an annual fee for CEU courses.

Application Review

All applications are reviewed by the AICI CEU Administrator. The information is treated confidentially. If all requirements are met, an approval notice is sent to you, with a copy to AICI HQ.

The course is approved for three years. Every three years your course must be re-approved.
